The sun is shining and people are ready to come out and play! For the first time Capitol Hill is hosting a Pride Festival on Saturday, June 27th from 11am – 4pm. The festival celebrating diversity and community pride will take place on Broadway between Olive and Harrison Streets. The festival will have many activities that appeal to all ages, including fashion show contests and live music. There will also be special performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race and a man known for his over the top performances, Mark “Mom” Finely, who will be MC for the event. With over 100 booths consisting of vendors and local businesses in the Capitol Hill community this event is sure to be a hit.
